Bio

I trained in Aromatherapy Massage with The Tisserand Institute back in the 90's, but didn’t follow a career in massage as I didn’t feel I had enough life experience at that time. Instead, I offered massage to my friends and family, while continuing a corporate career.

During lockdown, I decided to re-train, with a focus on treating people living with chronic pain.

After a lot of research, I discovered The Jing Institute of Massage & Complementary Medicine. Jing are based in Brighton and led by two incredible women and a talented team of teachers. They offer the highest level of massage training available in the UK and are highly regarded in the industry.

Here, I not only found a place in which to learn, grow and thrive, but have fun in the process and be inspired by the directors, teachers and fellow therapists and become part of supportive tribe.

So, my Jing journey began in 2021, where I completed an intensive 8 day course to bring my core massage skills up to date through Bodywork Beginnings, quickly followed by the Foundation in Advanced Clinical Massage and I was hooked.

Following a year of in-depth study and over 100 hours of clinical hands on practice, I completed my professional diploma in Advanced Clinical & Sports Massage with The Jing Institute of Massage & Complementary Medicine and am delighted to now be offering treatments to anyone experiencing chronic musculo-skeletal pain and / or restricted movement that is affecting daily activities and quality of life.

I have gone on to specialise in Temperomandibular Joint (TMJ) work related to head, neck, and jaw pain, have completed Hot Stone Fusion, which I use to support and enhance my clinical work as well as a beautiful standalone treatment for complete relaxion and most  recently, Treating Caesarean and Mastectomy Scars with Myofascial Release.

Using The Jing Method™ along with the biopsychosocial model of pain, I combine my detailed anatomy knowledge, a listening touch and a warm and heart-centred approach to provide specific yet holistic treatments, considering both your physical and emotional needs.

Following a detailed consultation and range of movement assessment, I use a variety of safe and effective soft tissue techniques such as heat (using hot stones - optional), myofascial work, trigger point therapy, acupressure and stretching.

Treatment doesn’t end when you step away from the massage table either, as I will always offer tailored self-care techniques for you to use at home to enhance your recovery. I am totally committed to working alongside you to achieve your desired outcomes.
